Taking my daughter to her first game at Rice-Eccles. What do I need to know?

She's six. I went to my first game with my dad in 1994 and I've thought about that day approximately once a week for thirty years. I would like to not screw this up. Where do we park, when do we get there, and what's the move when she's done at halftime?

Get there for the Ute Walk. She'll remember the band and the horse more than a single snap of football. Park at the Guardsman lot, walk down, be in your seat by the second quarter and consider anything after halftime a bonus. Bring a hoodie even in August, that stadium turns on you at night.

Buy the overpriced ice cream. That's the whole tip. Thirty years from now the ice cream is the part she'll bring up, not the score.
